The countdown is over – the Junior State Cup is finally here! This weekend, young Oztag players from across the state will take the field, showcasing their skills, teamwork, and passion for the game. With three days of non stop action and 316 teams competing, there’s plenty to look forward to as teams battle it out.
The tournament kicks off on Friday, setting the stage for an exciting weekend. Over the weekend, we’ll witness some of the most promising young talent in Oztag, with Sunday’s finals set to deliver intense matchups and unforgettable moments. Finals day will be live-streamed on our Facebook page, so be sure to tune in and catch all the action!
For our premier divisions, Boys and Girls 17s, it will be their final year in the junior divisions, making it an unforgettable tournament for these athletes. Teams to look out for in the Premier Division include last year’s 16s reigning champions: Baulkham Hills (Boys) and Central Coast (Girls). They’ll be facing strong competition from teams determined to dethrone them, including Souths and Cronulla, who were both semi-finalists last year in their respective divisions.
Continuing from last year, NSW Origin teams will be selected based on players’ performances in this tournament. This is a huge opportunity for young athletes to showcase their skills and take the next step in their Oztag journey.
Our media team will be capturing all the highlights from the tournament. Stay tuned for Viral-worthy highlights showcasing top plays and live updates through the Sportfix app,so you don’t miss a beat!
A special shoutout to NIB, our major sponsor, for their ongoing support. Look out for their presence throughout the tournament!
