Northern NSW Development Tour Day 2 Wrap
The Australian Oztag Development team started day two of the Northern NSW Development tour at Bingara Public School.
Bingara is about a 40 minute drive south of Warialda and has a population of just 1,428 people. The kids were a really polite and talented bunch and were extremely grateful that we’d made it to their school. The kids had a great time and so did the development team. They will hopefully stop by again next year.
They then hopped back in the car and headed further south to Gunnedah and met with the new convenor for the brand new league about to start up tomorrow in Coonabarabran, to pass on equipment and some expertise of what to expect.
After a short stop in Gunnedah, it was back in the car for an hour drive to Tamworth. The development team helped out at the Tamworth Oztag league and gave a one hour tutorial to a brand new men’s team that had never played Oztag before. They picked it up very quickly and the development team think that they will do well in future matches.
Tomorrow, the team will be conducting three clinics in three different Tamworth schools and then back in the car to head to round one of the Coonabarabran competition.
