Northern NSW Development Tour Day 3 Wrap

It was a busy day yesterday for the Australian Oztag Development team, with three school clinics and the launch of the first ever Coonabarabran Oztag competition on the schedule.

The day started off with nearly 100 students at Carinya Christian school participating in an Oztag clinic, with the vast majority experiencing the sport for the first time.

The team then headed down the road to Hillvue school, followed by Kootingal school to expose Oztag to more kids in the Tamworth region.

It was then back on the road for a two hour drive to Coonabarabran. The team helped out with some refereeing and provided the local referees with some tips/expertise and answered all rule queries that they had. It was a successful launch and there was some fantastic talent on show. Look out for Coonabarabran come State Cup time!

The Development team stayed the night in Coonabarabran and was up nice and early for the long drive back to Sydney today. This tour was well received and plans are already in place to make next year’s regional tour even bigger and better.
